The piece is set to orchestra and there’a few shots of the airmen looking inspired by the music and entertained by the dancing. The dancer is the famous Sally Rand, complete with her ostrich feathers, as she parades around stage to the music. The Right Stuff – Clair de Lune is used during a bit of downtime, as the guys watch a dancer. Clair de Lune is French for “moonlight” but that’s just a bonus, because they pile on the sappy emotion thanks to Debussy.Ħ. It shows up in Twilight as Bella’s love theme and later in Eclipse too. Isn’t that nice? You can take your pick with this one, because Twilight certainly knows how to milk a good thing. Twilight Saga – Twilight sure loves Clair de Lune, mostly because it’s a sappy romantic comedy like Frankie & Johnny, just disguised as a trendy werewolf love story.

It comes in at the end just when the two of them are low, but they can’t stay away from each other for long. Frankie and Johnny – Clair de Lune has elements of romanticism, so it fits sappy romance crap like Frankie and Johnny (1991) starring Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. The trailer shows a collection of monsters waiting to be unleashed upon the Earth while Clair de Lune plays in the background, which is strangely ominous.Ĩ. That’s the thing about this piece, it fits all kinds of emotional situations, and this one clearly wants to inspire us with wonder and awe for the monsters to come. Godzilla, King of Monsters – Clair de Lune is used in the 2018 epic trailer for Godzilla to elicit wonder.
